The Degenrification of Music ConsumptionJoshua Wentz/05.01.08

05.01.08—I'm going to attempt to write a brief review of every complete physical album I own. I hope to update with a review each weekday. If I stopped buying music right now, this endeavor would take me around six years.

Of course I have no plan to quit buying music, and in fact I've recently started my own audio label. It's safe to say that I will always have plenty of music to review.

These will not solely be reviews of new music. The albums being reviewed are not genre-biased, and take nothing into context except my own tastes. I like to think that I have an ear for good music, but that doesn't mean that all the albums I own are good. Not every review will be positive.

The only requirement for reviews on this site is that I must own a complete physical copy of any album I review. If you have an album that you'd like to be featured on this site, simply send me a copy. I will move requested or submitted albums to the top of my review queue.

degenre is a part of Sidedown, my design agency and audio label. This site is a diversion, but I do care about the ideas and music represented herein.
